 The
Vertical covering machine is designed with positively driven
spindle lapping heads to apply single/double or triple covering.
All spinners are driven independent of each other by individual
motor. The lapping percentage can be varied by change gears.
Clutch is provided for engaging and disengaging the drive from
the capstan gearbox. The reeling arrangement is fixed by traverse.

 The
machine is designed for Single/Double or Multi covering of Paper,
Mica, Polyester, Nomex etc on Bare Aluminium/Copper Rectangular
wire.
Salient features:
- Pay-off supply stand along with Disc
Brake with/without Hydraulic Lifting/lowering of spool.
- Collapsible Straightner mounted on
Horizontal and vertical plane.
- Main drive through DC motor/eddy current
motor to give stepless revolution to spinner.
- Capstan/Caterpillar with/without PIV
to provide linear speed between 0 to 15 m/min.
- Spinners fitted with/without PIV (Positive
Infinite Variatior)
- Take-up winding is by clutch or by
Torque Motor and traverse pitch is controlled by Roll Ring
traverse for stepless pitch variation and with Hydraulic lowering/lifting
of spool.
- Automatic Braking on breaking of tape
or when strip or tape ends.
- Rotating wiper/Digital Counter and
Control Panel.

 The
plant shall consist of the following basic machines/equipments.
- Pay-off supply stand roll in type with
Disc Brake.
- Rotating Wiper for cleaning the strip.
- Collapsible Straightner mounted on
Horizontal and vertical plane.
- Two no. of separate eccentric lapping
spinner with four or six glass yarn cheeses on each spinner
with/without Positive Infinite Variatior (PIV).
- Automatic stoppage on breaking of yarn
or when yarn ends. On yarn breakage the ovens retract back
and close to avoid heat loss.
- Varnishing and lacquering plant consisting
of one preheating oven and two curing ovens with four heating
zones.
- Varnish re-circulating system with
geared pump and containers.
- Capstan unit (overhung) with reduction
unit and PIV.
- Take-up with traverse pitch is controlled
by Roll Ring traverse for stepless pitch variation.
- Safety interlocks to avoid damage/burning
of covered rectangular wire or thick wire.
- Control panel Board.
- Cheese winding machine to
wind fibre glass yarn.
